Ever wanted to interview an author?

We’re trying a few new ideas around here. Let me introduce another one. I need a guinea pig to try this out some time while I’m here in Venice at some stage this weekend. Fancy a try?

Here’s the idea…

Readers like to ask authors questions. Authors like to answer them. But often it’s not easy. A quick to and fro on Twitter (no I won’t call it X). Or that brief session at the end of a festival event where you’re praying someone won’t stand up and say, ‘More a statement than a question’.

So let’s try an experiment. You think of five questions you’d like to ask me. Each month (if this works) I pick one of you to ask them in person, online, through a video chat between the two us at a time that’s agreeable to both of us. Like Zoom only higher quality (and supposedly easy to use). I just send you a link and you can enter the video chat through any computer with a camera and mic. It all happens through your browser – Chrome seems to be best.

What kind of questions? That’s up to you. It can be about my books. My audio experiences. How I write. Why I write the stories I do. You choose? Interested? Just fill in the form below or email me at audio@davidhewson.com with an idea of the five questions you’d like to ask. An idea of where you are in the world and time zone would be useful too. You can use the form to sign up for future newsletters too but that’s optional.

Let me know if this works…
