Barcelona Negra 2008

I’ll be in the Catalan capital briefly for Barcelona Negra 2008 in early February. Expect to see e around the Palau de la Virreina in La Rambla on February 7 and 8. My event at the book festival is at 17.45 in the Palau de la Virreina where I will be discussing inspectors, classic and modern, with Andy Oaks, Mark Billingham, Juan Bolea, and Leif G. W. Persson, moderated by José Luis Serrano.

The Costa books have proved popular in Spain, which was the setting for my first ever novel, Semana Santa. So it will be delightful to be back in the country, albeit briefly, and particularly to meet my enthusiastic Spanish publisher, Nausicaa, who are always among the first to have the Costa stories in translation, as well as standalones such as The Promised Land and Lucifer’s Shadow.
